Social Responsibility
At the centre, human capital
Concrete Actions for the well-being of people and the territory
CAB has deep roots in the territory of Gubbio and central Italy. Our identity is based on seriousness and quality, expressed in a global vision of social, environmental, and economic responsibility.
Our company has long embarked on a path of change towards sustainability, placing human capital at its centre. We believe that it is people, with their contribution, who pursue and realize our ethical and sustainable values.
For this reason, we are committed to:
- Developing and enhancing the professional skills of our employees through targeted training programs and a stimulating work environment.
- Promoting value systems, behaviours, and leadership models consistent with the company’s vision and mission.
- Creating a culture based on merit and inclusion, which encourages people to continuously improve themselves and values cultural and personal diversity.
Social Responsibility: fair and adequate salary policies
Our social responsibility is also reflected in fair and adequate salary policies:
- For all employees, except for managers, thanks to second-level bargaining, an annual performance bonus is recognized, consisting of a financial payment assigned to employees as a shared recognition for the results achieved by the company.
- For senior profiles and those in strategic roles, short-term incentive systems such as Management by Objectives (MBO) are provided, based on the achievement of individual and group objectives that include a composite sustainability objective.
Barbetti for the local territory
Barbetti has always had a profound and close relationship with Gubbio
This is also evident in the company’s logo, which combines respect for tradition (with a strong reference to the Palazzo dei Consoli, a symbolic monument of the city of Gubbio) and the pursuit of modernity and innovation (with the Gubbio plant). But that is not all.
Barbetti is a company that lives and breathes its city, as demonstrated day by day by its presence and investments.
The city has dedicated the municipal stadium to Pietro Barbetti, one of the founders.
Today, the Barbetti Group sponsors Gubbio Calcio and many other sports teams.
In the world of motorsport, it is present with the Luigi Fagioli Trophy, a hill climb race and an Italian round of the European Hill Climb Championship, and with the “Angelo and Pietro Barbetti Memorial”.
Barbetti supports numerous local activities, both of tourist importance, such as the Colle Eletto Cable Car, built in 1960 to commemorate the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Ubaldo, the city’s patron saint, and in the cultural field, where it never fails to contribute to the organization of events, concerts, and exhibitions.
Furthermore, it has fully financed the restoration of Piazza San Giovanni, designed by the architect Gae Aulenti. It has always supported social activities that prioritize initiatives for the elderly, children, and local parishes.
Welfare and a Safe Environment

A workplace tailored to people
Our people-oriented approach has led us to further expand our Welfare policies aimed at protecting our workers, by subscribing to additional insurance coverage beyond those provided for by the collective agreement.
Making the workplace a safe environment is a top priority. For this reason, we are committed to implementing procedures, rules, and behaviours, both mandatory and resulting from our own initiatives, to ensure the health and safety of our employees, collaborators, and stakeholders.
Second-Level Renewal
A link to performance
With the latest four-year renewal of the second-level collective bargaining agreement (2020-2024), we desired to tie the amount of the bonus to a factor significantly correlated with the company’s performance, indirectly involving the interests of employees, shareholders, and stakeholders.
This choice has helped to consolidate a normalization process aimed at establishing the company’s present and future economic and financial stability.
